Official sees Russia’s Bashneft privatization price set in August
YEKATERINBURG, Jul 12 (PRIME) -- The privatization price of a stake in Russian oil company Bashneft will be announced in August, First Deputy Energy Minister Alexei Teksler told reporters Tuesday.
“I think it will happen in the month of August,” he said.
Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev said earlier that the government may sell its entire 50% stake in Bashneft on a stock exchange. He also said that the ministry received two written bids for Bashneft from Tatneftegaz and Independent Oil and Gas Company and one verbal bid from oil major Lukoil.
In June, Bashneft CEO Alexander Korsik said the company’s value was estimated at U.S. $7.5 billion, or 500 billion rubles, as of June 30 and it may grow of the oil price grows.
